Macedonian Cup 1/4 finals first leg

Macedonian Cup trophyShkendija beat Metalurg, Sileks won against Drita away, while Teteks and Renova played a goalless draw.

Thanks to a lone goal by Muzafer Ejupi scored in the first half, Shkendija beat Metalurg and has a minimal advantage before the return game. Metalurg came for a draw but failed to prevent the home team from scoring and now will have to win by two goals for a semi-final.

In Bogovinje, Drita took over the lead in the 32nd minute against Sileks, but the joy of the home team lasted briefly. The visitors tied only 3 minutes later and on the beginning of the second half scored a second goal, turning the result around. Sileks managed to defend the 1:2 lead and eventually won the game. Now they have a return game at home, which is clearly an advantage for the Kratovo based team.

Teteks hosted Cup holders Renova on the Gjorche Petrov stadium in Skopje, as the pitch on the Gradski stadium in Tetovo is in bad condition. Knowing that both teams share the same stadium in Tetovo, this location change was not of any advantage for neither team with the game ending in a goalless draw.

The last game between Pelister and Vardar was postponed due to the visitors having 3 players with international duties. It will be played on 7 November.
