Macedonian Cup 1/2 final 2nd leg

Rabotnicki against Milano in the cup final. That’s the outcome of this year’s cup edition after today’s semifinal return legs.

Makedonija Gjorche Petrov – Rabotnicki Kometal 1:1* (aggregate score 1:1 * Rabotnicki Kometal advances due to away goals rule)
The more interesting match was certainly the one played on the stadium in Gjorche Petrov. After first leg’s 0-0 both Rabotnicki and Makedonija needed the win on the return match. Rabotnicki took the lead in the 54th minute with Jancevski’s goal. It was right before the final whistle when the hosts managed to equalize with the goal scored by Jovanovski in the 89th minute. Once again that result was in Rabotnicki’s favour considering the away goals rule. Till the finish Makedonija didn’t managed to score a winning goal and Rabotnicki advances to the cup final and for the first time they will have chance to become cup winners.

Nov Milenium Susica – Milano Kumanovo 1:2 (aggregate score 1:6)
With the 4-0 win from the first leg, it looked like Milano have already booked their way to the final, but the return leg had to be played. And, in the 48th minute of the match, on a major surprise, the second-league side Nov Milenium took the lead with the goal scored by Mitrev. However, Milano did not allow a bigger surprise to happen and quickly took the control of the match. Soon after, they’ve equalized with Lazarevski’s goal in the 56th minute. In the 65th minute Jusufi scored the winning goal for Milano and sealed the victory. Just as Rabotnicki, this will be Milano’s first final as well.

The final match will be played on the 24th of May.
