Macedonian 1st League – Round 5

milano vardarThe 5th round of the macedonian first football league was marked with the very important win of Vardar away to Milano in Kumanovo, in the match between the two main candidates for the title this season.

Milano Kumanovo – Vardar Skopje

Before this match, Milano was superior on their ground in Kumanovo and were not defeated for 11 months. The record that was stopped today by the main champion candidates, FK Vardar from Skopje in a very interesting match, which was real example that there is some quality on the stadiums in Macedonia.
The hosts started the match with attacks forwards Vardar's goal' but it was Boban Jancevski who opened the scoreline and took Vardar in the lead in the 6th minute after the assist by Milisavljevic from the left side. Again, in the 31st minute, Jancevski scored, this time with a header after Bozinovski's cross from the right side. Few minutes later, after a corner kick, Erdogan Brando with a header lowered the lead and this was the score under which the players left on the half time break.
Milano again started the second half with attacking football. They created few chances but Gligorovski and Manevski failed to convert them into goals. The score was kept the same until the 86th minute when Artim Polozani scored great goal from a free kick from 17 meters. In the last minutes of the match, Alimi and Sali tried to lower the defeat, but their efforts were unsuccessful and the match ended with a 1:3 win for Vardar.

Makedonija GjP Skopje – Pobeda Prilep 5:0 (1:0)

Makedonija Gjorce Petrov managed an easy and big victory over former macedonian champions Pobeda. The hosts created numerous chances in the first half and brazilan De Brito converted one of them into a goal in the 25th minute. Makedonija was much more successful in the 2nd half when De Brito with his goals in the 46th minute from penalty and in the 64th, wrote a hat-trick after his name on the score sheet. Young Filip Kolekeski scored in the 50th and 79th minute for confirmation of the big 5:0 win.

Renova Dzepciste – Pelister Bitola 3:1 (1:1)
45' Petkovski(og), 49' Emini, 90' Ali – 15' Junior
Very interesting match was played in Tetovo also. Pelister had a good start of the match when Miranda assisted to his countrymen Junior and Pelister took the lead in the 15th minute. But the hosts quickly managed to consolidate and equalized the score in the last moments of the first half, when after a corner kick, Petkovski scored an own goal. On the begining of the second half, Vulnet Emini took Renova in to lead and in the last minute Ali confirmed the victory and set the final score.

Horizont Turnovo – Sileks Kratovo 1:0 (1:0)

Heavy rain turned over Turnovo today which made an almost imposibble conditions for playing football. Because of the heavy storm, the referee was forced to stop the match in the 35th minute and there was a big break of 20 minutes. Just when the match started again, Sileks' defender Shalevski scored an own goal. Towards the end of the match, Natkov missed a penalty kick in the 85th minute and failed to equalize the score, which brought the first win for the newly promoted Turnovo.

Rabotnicki Skopje – Metalurg Skopje 1:0 (0:0)

Rabotnicki managed to note the first victory in the season after 4 draws so far. In a match that they mainly dominated, it wasn't until the added time of the second half when Ilijoski managed to score the decisive goal after a free kick and brought 3 points to his team. Previously, there weren't many chances on both sides and the only goal of the match proves that as well.
