Macedonia U21 secured an unconvincing win over Gibraltar (Video)

The young Macedonians recorded the second win in Group C qualifiers for EURO U21 2025 with a lone goal against Gibraltar.

Macedonia had the possession and the initiative, but only managed to create several chances. The best chance in the first half for Macedonia was in 17th minute, when Todorovski passes to Stankovski who came one on one with the goalkeeper, but Avellano saved it.

In 51st minute Abazi took a shoot from five meters but missed the goal. In the next minute, the same player scored the only goal in this match after corner kick by Nikolov. Till end of the match, Macedonia had two more great chances to score. In the 75th minute Semovski took a shot from five meters directly to Avellano and in the 81st minute Abazi missed in one on one situation with goalkeeper.

Gibraltar had two shots on target. The first one had captain Borge in 39th minute and the second was in the injury time when Britto took a low power shot from inside the box.
