Young Macedonians finished the EURO2025 qualifiers with a defeat away against Georgia.
The hosts was better side in today’s match and with this win they secured the second place in the group which lead to play-off match.
Аlthough, Georgia controlled the match and had the initiative, Macedonia scored first. In 52nd minute, Trpcevski assisted to Isaki who scored with a great shot from outside the box. Two minutes after, Gordeziani went in and the same player equalized the score in 61st minute. Ten minutes after the equalizer, Lominadze set the final result of the match.
Macedonia finished fourth in the group with four wins and six defeats. The young Lynxes beat Sweden away, Moldova on the home ground and they celebrate twice against Gibraltar. The Netherlands with maximum points qualified for EURO 2025 and Georgia as second ranked team will play a play-off match.
