Macedonia to play friendly against Norway

Macedonia players training before the Croatia qualifierMacedonia and Norway will play a friendly match in June in Oslo.

Chedomir Janevski’s team has scheduled another friendly match against a team from Scandinavia. After the 3:0 win over Denmark, Macedonia will meet Norway in Oslo, on 11th of June, media in Norway reports. This fixture is also available on FIFA.com.

 Macedonia’s next matches are in March. On 22nd, in Skopje, Macedonia will host Belgium and 4 days later Macedonia will visit Belgium. Both matches are qualifiers for World Cup 2014. 

Macedonia and Norway have so far played twice. Both matches were during the 2010 World Cup qualifications. It was 0:0 in Skopje, while Norway won 2:1 at home.

Norway’s national team coach Egil Olsen was quoted saying: “Macedonia varies in their play, but they have quality players who play abroad and have just beaten Denmark 3:0”.
