The Macedonian national team concluded their first training today with John Toshack asking for better efficiency from his strikers.

The training of the senior national team took place at the training center of FC Pyunik.  The weather was ideal as Toshack wants to see some goals in Friday’s game against Armenia.  All of the players present for Macedonia participated in the training as there are no injured players among the 20 men squad in Armenia.

John Toshack said the following to the reporters, “The problem is in our efficiency. That was also highlighted in our statistical analysis.  We will seek a solution in the attack and I’m hopeful that the injured players who could not make the squad for these games will soon recover from their injuries.  We have analyzed the game of Armenia.  In particular, we watched their heavy road win over Slovakia and the match in Macedonia which ended 2:2.”

Toshack also noted that he wants a repeat of the good performance against Russia last month.  The most important thing is to play well and the result will come.  Toshack closed by saying he was satisfied with the commitment of the players during the training session.

The senior national team will have another training tomorrow which will be held at the stadium of FC Pyunik, the same venue where the match between Armenia and Macedonia will take place on Friday.
