Jovan Kostovski was also in Romania early last week to negotiate a transfer to Dinamo București, but terms could not be agreed at that time and Kostovski returned to Macedonia to join up his national teammates for the friendly against Bulgaria on 14 August.  Jovan played 30 minutes in that match, and then featured and scored a goal for Vardar in last Sunday’s 1:1 draw against Renova.  Kostovski was not with Vardar for Wednesday’s domestic cup matchup against Zajazi, which Vardar won 4:2.

That is because Jovan is departing for Romania once again, this time optimistic that he will officially complete the move.  Kostovski has been requested by manager Gheorghe Mulțescu to club management.  Dinamo București is looking for a CF after the underwhelming performance of Joël Thomas in the early parts of the season.  Mulțescu, as manager of Astra last season, brought in Mirko Ivanovski and is now aiming to add another Macedonian striker to his current team as well.

Kostovski, 26, is a classic CF with good size and aerial abilities, but limited in his ground game and outside the penalty area.

Dinamo București president Constantin Anghelache said the following to Romanian newspaper “Fanatik,” At this time there is no impediment to the transfer of striker Jovan Kostovski to Dinamo București.  There are just some formalities that need to be signed.  The player is expected in Romania on Thursday.”
