The Brazilian (who joined Vardar from Bulgarian giants CSKA Sofia) had previously spent 3 years at the current Macedonian champions where he had garnered a reputation for being one of their best players. In total he played 111 official games for the club, scored 27 goals adding 26 assists (in all competitions). He twice won the domestic league (2015/16 and 2016/17) and once the domestic Super Cup (2015).
Juan Felipe has returned to his native Brazil where he plans to continue his career. His final day at the club was not without emotion, however. He spent his last day as a Vardar player at the training base and thanked each and every one of the staff for his time at Vardar with tears in his eyes, proving that not only did he mean a lot to Vardar… But Vardar also meant a lot to him! Arguably his finest moment in the red and black jersey was his goal in Vardar’s debut appearance at the Europa League groups stages against Rosenborg in Trondheim.
All the best to Juan Felipe in the future!
