Macedonian national team coach Chedomir Janevski decided to make many changes for the upcoming friendly game against Slovenia in Skopje. And that’s what friendlies are for. He decided not to call up players who have a yellow card suspension and won’t be available in the first game with Belgium in March and also decided to give a rest to experienced players like Goran Pandev, Nikolche Noveski and Goran Popov (who apologised for his behavior before the WC qualifier against Serbia).

Instead, he called up 3 debutants in Adis Jahovikj, Dejan Blazhevski and Mite Cikarski. Striker Jahovic has been playing in good form for his Zürich this season and it was expected to get a call in the national team. Offensive midfielder Blazhevski is so far outstanding in the domestic league and his call is a reward for his job well done, leading Turnovo to the top in the table, while left back Cikarski with his good performances in the U21 national team was already knocking on the senior’s door. Also Bojan Markoski should have his debut as last month he was in the squad but did not made an appearance.

Aleksandar Todorovski and Aleksandar Trajkovski are back in the national team after a while. Todorovski is currently Polonia’s most in form player, while Trajkovski now plays more in Belgium. Daniel Georgievski is one of the suspender players but got a last-minute call as Stefan Ristovski had to cancel as in those days will have a game with his Bari.
