Jakimovski nearing a move to Japan

Forward Nikola Jakimovski might continue his career in Japan.

Serbian media reports that Nikola Jakimovski will probably leave Javor Ivanjica and sign a deal with Japanese side Nagoya Grampus. Nagoya’s manager is Serbian Dragan Stojković whose assistant coach is former Macedonian national team player Boshko Gjurovski. Jakimovski should be on the move during the winter transfer period.

Nagoya have finished last season on 2nd place and was part of the Asian Champions League, reaching the round of last 16.

They currently lie on 4th position in J1 League with two rounds to go. The top 3 teams qualify for Asian Champions League, with Nagoa facing third placed Urawa Reds in the last round.

Nikola Jakimovski has played for Makedonija Gjorche Petrov before making his first international transfer in Hungary, with Ferencváros. He has then returned to Teteks on loan and from there continued his career in Serbia, with Javor Ivanjica. He has caps for youth national teams of Macedonia.
