Despite no longer being eligible to play for Al-Nasr, Ivan Trichkovski is still training with the Dubai based club.
Ivan Trichkovski was caught completely off guard when Al-Nasr removed him from their roster this past winter. In the United Arab Emirates, where only four foreigners can be registered per team, Al-Nasr decided to swap Trichkovski for Pablo Hernandez. Then, the club called the league’s governing body to remove Trichkovski from the list of eligible players and insert Hernandez in his place.
However, despite that, Trichkovski is still training with Al-Nasr since he has a valid contract with them until the summer. He must receive his salary, regardless of the fact that he can no longer play for the club. He is attending trainings to stay in shape before he decides which new team to join in the summer transfer window.

Trichkovski still has a good relationship with Al-Nasr manager Ivan Jovanovic. Ownership made the decision to swap Ivan for Pablo, not the coaching staff. So, Jovanovic and his staff allowed him to continue training with the club until the expiration of his contact.
