Ivan Trichkovski was joined in the press conference by the Club Brugge manager Georges Leekens and general manager Vincent Mannaert.  Leekens, who took over as head coach of Club Brugge after he decided to leave the manager post of Belgium, stated the following to the club’s official website, “I am pleased with this transfer.  We are getting here, despite his young age, a wealth of experience.  Ivan has many qualities and can play different positions.  He brings speed, added depth and scoring ability.  Hopefully he can adjust quickly and integrate into our team.”

Trichkovski, meanwhile, also expressed satisfaction at joining Club Brugge by noting, “I would first like to thank everyone who played a part in realizing this transfer: the club chairman, general manager, coach and my agent.  I’m very happy to be here and sign the contract.  Club Brugge is a club full of great history and tradition.  There were several possibilities but in the end the choice was easy when Club Brugge came knocking in.  My ambitions are consistent with those of the club.  I came here to help Club Brugge reach the next level in European competitions.”

Ivan also mentioned that he spoke with the Macedonian internationals already based in Belgium such as Tome Pachovski, Boban Grncharov and Aleksandar Trajkovski to get their thoughts on the quality of the league before deciding to accept the move to Club Brugge.  He becomes the fourth summer signing of the club who begin their Champions League qualifications later in the summer.
