Ilco Naumoski wore the captain’s armband for Mattersburg and provided an assist during today’s 2:1 road win over Magna Wiener Neustadt.

With the usual captain Michael Mörz suspended due to a red card, Ilco Naumoski wore the captain’s armband since he is the vice-captain on the team.  Mattersburg has been struggling this season but they finally picked up their first league win of the season today by defeating Magna Wiener Neustadt. 

Naumoski provided the assist on the first goal just before halftime when he played a nice free kick in the box which reached his teammate Nedeljko Malić whose header found the back of the net.  Naumoski ended up playing all 90 minutes in the narrow road victory.  He came close to scoring in the 35th minute but his header following a corner kick went just wide of the goal.

Mattersburg is currently second from bottom on the table with 7 points after ten rounds in Austria.
