After getting defeated 0:2 by Romania on Thursday, Iceland will once again play at home as the schedule gave them five straight home matches, this time against Macedonia.
Midfielder Rúnar Már Sigurjónsson was originally in the squad but had to be dropped before the Romania match due to injury. Also, Iceland will be without striker Kolbeinn Sigþórsson after a decision by the KSÍ to grant him suspension from the national team. The 31-year-old Sigþórsson who plays for Swedish side Göteborg is currently leading all-time top goalscorer for Iceland with 26 goals, same as legendary striker Eiður Guðjohnsen.
