With 17 goals in all competitions, Besart Ibraimi is by far the best goalscorer in any Macedonian club for the past half-season.
Last season he was the top goalscorer in the Macedonian top flight with 26 goals (+ 2 in the Cup), now he is striving for a second consecutive award as number one bomber. So far Ibraimi has 10 goals and shares the top with his teammate Ferhan Hasani. But, if we look at the overall standings, Ibraimi is at the top with 17 goals. To the 10 1.MFL goals he added 3 in the Macedonian Cup and before that 4 in the Europa League qualifications where his team managed to eliminate three oponents and reach the play-offs.
His club Shkendija made a video compilation with the 13 goals scored in the two domestic competitions:
The only competition where Ibraimi failed to score a goal were the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. In the 4 games Macedonian played he never got a chance from the start: against Albania and Spain he came in as a late sub, against Isreal he was brought in in the 51st minute, while against Italy he played the entire second half.
There are rumors that Besart may leave during the winter transfer window which will be a big blow for Shkendija since he is the main force in the attack, but on the other hand he has already done beyond this league and deserves to move to a better level.
