Hasani has legit goal disallowed, later scores another goal

The 23-year-old winger opened Monday’s game between Vestsjælland and Brøndby on the bench before he was introduced at the start of the 2nd half to replace Martin Ørnskov.  The score was still goalless at halftime before Brøndby eventually took the lead in the 66th minute through a converted penalty by Alexander Szymanowski.

Things then got interesting in the 79th minute when Hasani scored what seemed to be a legit goal, only for the referee to make a delayed decision that Hasani had committed a foul against the Vestsjælland keeper.  Ferhan was already huddled up, celebrating his goal with teammates, when the referee made the controversial decision to disallow the goal.  Replays showed that Hasani made no contact with the keeper, as he just pounced from close range after the keeper bobbled a save on an attempted shot by Szymanowski.

However, four minutes later in the 83rd minute, Hasani did get his goal after he narrowly beat the offside trap and calmly sent a right footed shot past the opposing keeper.  That made it 0:2 for the visiting side Brøndby, and that proved to be the final score as well.

After a terrible start to the 2013-14 season, in which Brøndby went without a win in the opening seven rounds (3 draws and 4 losses), the club has turned things around and has now gone the next seven rounds without a loss (4 wins and 3 draws).  Thus, after fourteen rounds in the current league campaign, Brøndby has moved into a tie for 6th place on the standings with 18 points.
