Croatian giants Hajduk Split have allegedly expressed interest in Ferhan Hasani and Sedat Berisa from Shkendija as well as Perica Stanceski from Željezničar.
According to various Croatian newspapers, Hajduk Split scouts Ivica Kalinić and Ivica Matković have been seen in Tetovo scouting attacker Ferhan Hasani and defender Sedat Berisa. Hasani is arguably the best player for the current champions of Macedonia. Hasani will turn 21 in about a month and is known as a great dribbler who is also very good at taking free kicks. He is also a regular member of the Macedonian U21 team and the manager of the U21 national team, Boban Babunski, has called Hasani the best player in the top Macedonian football league. Hasani was on trial at Dutch club Heerenveen last summer and the club liked what they saw from Hasani but he decided to remain at Shkendija. In January, some Macedonian newspapers also reported that several German Bundesliga clubs had interest in Hasani. Berisa on the other hand is a central defender who trained with the Hoffenheim II team this past January but he also returned to Shkendija to help his team become champions of Macedonia.
It is unknown how much money it will take for Hajduk Split to sign Hasani and Berisa. The Shkendija president has said that he doesn’t plan on selling his best players because he wants to strengthen the team for Champions League qualifying. He may decide to cash in on Hasani and Berisa after his club is eliminated from the competition.
Meanwhile, Hajduk Split sent scout Vilson Džoni in Sarajevo to watch Perica Stanceski during the Željezničar vs. Zrinjski game. Stanceski started the current season with Borac from Banja Luka before he transferred to Željezničar in January. Stanceski has not played much for Željezničar since joining the team as he has started a couple of games but most of his appearances have been as a second half substitute. Stanceski has made one appearance for the Macedonian national team in a friendly against China on December 22, 2010.
