Macedonian international Goran Popov moves to Ukraine where he signed five years long contract with Dynamo Kyiv.
After his successful performances for Dutch club Heerenveen and for the Macedonian national team, the left full back was a target for many bigger clubs from England and Germany, but the biggest interest was shown by Ukrainian club Dynamo from Kyev. Their scout followed Popov’s performances in the Dutch league and after his impressive plays for the Macedonian national team on the friendlies against Azerbaijan and Romania, Dynamo started the negotiations.
Goran Popov signed a five years long contract and will play with number 6. FK Dynamo Kiev have payed 3 million € to Heerenveen for his transfer.
Popov is born on 2.10.1984 in Strumica and started his career in Belasica. Before moving to Heerenveen, he played for Serbian club Crvena zvezda, Polish Odra and Greek clubs Levadiakos, Egaleo and AEK. He has 31 caps for the Macedonian national team and scored two goals.
