Friendly matches are exceptionally important for creating a strong national team, says Boshko Gjurovski, manager of the national team.
Macedonian national team is continuing their preparations for the upcoming friendly matches against China. From the initially called up players, three Rabotnichki players will not feature in the squad. Besides Gjoko Zajkov and Tauljant Sulejmanov, for who we already reported, Borche Manevski has also asked to be withdrawn from the squad as he is finalizing a transfer with a foreign team.
“Mini tours like the one in Austria and Italy, and this one in China will be exceptionally important in the long run for creating a team that will be competent in the EURO 2016 qualifications. Our aim is to create a young squad that will be able to respond to my requests and will play together for a longer time, maybe in two qualifying tournaments. For me, the result is not first priority. I would lose all friendly matches if I win the competitive. The two matches in Austria and Italy helped me a lot in my selection and I hope these upcoming two will also serve me” said manager Gjurovski.
