Macedonia will play a second match this month even if loses the play-off against Italy.

Macedonian national team faces Italy on the road on Thursday the 24th in the semifinals of Path C of the European qualifying play-offs for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. If Macedonia wins then on Tuesday the 29th will travel to the ground of the winner of the second semifinal match between Portugal and Turkey.

Only recently it was confirmed that the two losing semifinalists will join to play a friendly match on the 29th. That means that if Macedonia fails to defeat Italy will continue to the losing side of the Portugal – Turkey match.
