Filip Ivanovski linked to Loko Plovdiv

Vardar striker Filip Ivanovski is drawing interest from Lokomotiv Plovdiv, according to several Bulgarian newspapers.

The sports director of Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Branko Milovanović, is expected to attend today’s game between Macedonia and Slovakia in Skopje.  He will monitor the play of striker Filip Ivanovski who the club is considering to purchase in the 2012 January transfer window.

Filip Ivanovski was brought to the attention of the Lokomotiv Plovdiv management through their Macedonian manager Dragi Kanatlarovski.  Filip has been in good form for Vardar this season but like any player in Macedonia, the goal is always to move abroad so Lokomotiv Plovdiv could be his next destination beginning in January.

The 26-year-old Ivanovski has played abroad in both Poland and Cyprus.  He was most successful during his stint with Polonia Warszawa from 2008 to 2010.

Lokomotiv Plovdiv also has a Macedonian player on their squad in Dragi Kocev.  Before the start of this season, the Bulgarian club named Dragi Kanatlarovski as the new manager.  Lokomotiv Plovdiv is currently in sixth place on the table with 14 points after eight rounds in the top division.
