The two wins in a row launched Macedonia up for 33 places and is also the month’s biggest mover.
Eventually Macedonia left the bottom of the FIFA world ranking list. The embarrassing 166th place, lowest in the country’s history, is past now thanks to the WC qualifier win over Liechtenstein away and the home friendly trashing of Belarus, both with the same score of 3:0. The Lynx now have 95 more points than the March rankings which resulted in this high jump.
Macedonia is not anymore the lowest ranked national team in the neighborhood, as Kosovo lies on the bottom on the ranking for the team of the Balkans. Also, as you can see bellow, Macedonia moved up three places on the UEFA rankings.
