Macedonia moved up only three places after the two November friendlies to close 2015 in 136th place on the FIFA World Rankings.

2015 marks a disastrous year for the national team. There is no other way to put it. All twelve months saw Macedonia finish in triple digits on the World Rankings list, #136 being the final rankings for this calendar year.

Over the last month, two games were taken into consideration for Macedonia, a 4:1 friendly win over Montenegro and a 0:1 friendly loss to Lebanon. A good result followed by a terrible one. The end result was Macedonia gaining 27 points from the last rankings in November, good enough to move them up three spots. There are more national teams ahead of Macedonia than behind.
