Macedonia dropped two places in the latest FIFA rankings, published on Wednesday, where it ranked 71st.

Perhaps many expected a steep decline given the four consecutive defeats in as many matches in the new Nations League season, but Macedonia still only dropped two places.
According to official data, the national team lost as many as 18.24 points and with 1,350.91 points fell from 69th to 71st place. The fall is also due to the excellent results of Northern Ireland, which was right behind us on the July list, and has now jumped as many as 6 positions. Jamaica has also overtaken us. Fortunately for us, the other national teams around us did not record good results, hence the drop of only two positions.
Macedonia lost twice to Switzerland during this period, 3:0 at home and away, and 2:0 at home to Scotland and away to Slovenia.
Last year in October we were in 65th place.
