At today’s session of the Board of Directors of the Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM) it was decided to suspend OFS Ohrid due to a gross violation of the provisions of the Statute and acts of the FFM.
The Board of Directors of the FFM, after a thorough procedure and prior information from the Integrity Department, and in connection with a violation of integrity in its entirety by authorized officials of the OFS Ohrid, unanimously decided to suspend the Municipal Football Association of Ohrid (OFS Ohrid).
The main reasons for the decision are:
– Preparation and use of fictitious match reports (falsification of match reports for matches that have not been played, but are registered as played with specific results);
– An insight into the FFM’s COMET system showed that even a person who died several years ago is registered as a participant in these fictitious match reports;
– Referees have written statements that they were entered into the match reports without their knowledge and consent, i.e. they did not referee the matches at all, and some of them are not even referees, but are registered in those matches as if they refereed;
– The complete B municipal league within the OFS Ohrid does not exist, i.e. it is invented (5.MFL Ohrid);
“Such actions have violated the integrity of the competition and trust in the work of the union. FFM will file a disciplinary report against the president and secretary of OFS Ohrid to the appropriate disciplinary committee, with a proposal to take additional measures, in accordance with the Disciplinary Regulations and the Statute of FFM.
FFM remains firmly committed to the proper and transparent functioning of football structures and will not tolerate any attempts at abuse.” – said FFM.
We at MacedonianFootbal have been publishing results of the 4.MFL Ohrid starting from the 2019/20 season and have always suspected that some matches were never actually played. To this day we have concluded that there are clubs that exists only fictionally in order to forge matches. When this season was launched the 5.MFL Ohrid (or B league as mentioned by FFM), we decided not to publish it on our site as we were pretty sure that it will be a fictional league. And we were right.
