Today, the draw was made at the House of Football to determine the pairings for the play-off matches to fill the second league for the upcoming 2025/2026 season.

The winners of the five third league groups, as well as Osogovo as the 12th-placed team in the 2.MFL, participated in the draw.

Just like last year, the fortune decided that the winner of the North group from the third league, the Shkëndija 77 team from the village of Arachinovo near by Skopje, would play against the only second league team – Osogovo from Kochani. Last season Kumanovo as a third league side failed in the attempt to overcome Pobeda from the second league.

The FFM also determined the stadiums where the matches will be played, and the Commission for Competition declared all matches as high risk.

The matches will be played on Saturday (May 24) with a kick-off at 17:00 CET.

Due to the disqualification of top flight teams Voska Sport and Gostivar, they will not play in the second league next season, so two additional spots are open. Thus, of the three defeated teams in the play-offs, two will be promoted to the second league by drawing lots.

It was also decided that the only play-off match to fill the first league will be played on Sunday (May 25) at 17:00 CET.

However, it should be noted that the Disciplinary Committee of FFM has yet to decide on the final penalties for Kozhuf and Bashkimi for the match-fixing match that was annulled, so there may be changes in the play-offs, i.e. Bashkimi may not play in the play-off but Bregalnica from Shtip may take its place.

Depending on the severity of the penalties, whether they will be deducted points or disqualification, it is possible that there will be changes to the play-offs to fill the second league. A possible scenario is that the play-off matches will not be played at all and all 6 teams will be promoted to the second league teams.
