Unlike the September match when Macedonia played a 1:1 draw in Torshavn, the Faroe Islands are now with a temporary head coach in local coach Eyðun Klakstein, who took over the national team after the departure of Swedish coach Håkan Ericson who left after the October matches. His assistant is Atli Gregersen, former Faroese national team defender with 59 caps.

Klakstein summoned 23 players including two debutantes in defender Ási Dam and forward Poul Kallsberg. The new coach did not summon attacker Jóan Símun Edmundsson who play at Macedonian top flight side Shkupi.

The Faroese team arrived in Skopje on Friday and held a training session at FFM’s Petar Miloshevski training center, while on Saturday trained at the National Arena Todor Proeski.
