So far, Rabotnichki is the biggest disappointment. Rabotnichki lost a lot of players over the last season, therefore this was a pretty new team with lack of experience. Still, Budućnost had also a lot of changes in the squad and the Macedonian team was the favorite in this duel. The first leg ended 1:1, so Rabotnichki had to score at least one goal to get past home side from Montenegro. Central defender Leon Najdovski caused a penalty in the 17th minute when he fouled Miloš Raičković, for this action he also received the red card. Risto Radunović converted the following penalty. The game finished not until the 7th minute of stoppage time, nevertheless Rabotnichki wasn’t able to score the important equalizer.

Shkendija finally survived a round in the qualifications. The club from Tetovo played two strong games in the match-up against Cracovia to down the side from Poland. Cracovia made pressure right from the start, but everything was over after 13 minutes when Besart Ibraimi scored with a left-footed shot from inside the box after he controled a perfect cross by right-back Blagoja Todorovski. Cracovia continued to make pressure, but Shkendija was good in defense and always dangerous through counter attacks. In the 68th minute Besir Demiri produced an own goal, still Shkendija wasn’t shaking. On the contrary, the Polish club lost strength, Shkendija played with plenty of routine and created some chances. Stênio Júnior had a shot from good position in the 89th minute, but missed the target. Four minutes later, Ferhan Hasani brought the win when he fired a shot from close range. Neftçi from Azerbaijan, Vanche Shikov’s new club, is the opponent in the second round and if Shkendija repeats the performance from the first round, then everything is possible.
