One of those players is Goce Sedloski who will be one of 109 European players to receive a commemorative cap and medal from UEFA.  Sedloski had exactly 100 caps for Macedonia and he was also honored by the Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM) for his accomplishment.  He achieved the 100th cap for Macedonia last summer during a friendly against Azerbaijan.  FFM gave him a gold plaque and a jersey with the number 100.  Goce is now 37 years old and decided to retire last year as he is currently an assistant coach for Austrian club Mattersburg.

Speaking to UEFA.com, the president of the organization Michel Platini stated the following regarding this initiative, “Any player who has played 100 or more times for his or her country definitely deserves recognition by the football fraternity. Presenting the player with a cap and medal at forthcoming national team matches will highlight their achievement, while helping to refocus public attention on the importance of national team football.”

From the current players on the Macedonian national team, the closest to 100 are Velice Sumulikoski (75 caps), Igor Mitreski (70 caps), and Goran Pandev (60 caps).
