Attacking midfielder and winger Mitrovski was seen as a big prospect for the Macedonian football, but despite his great performances for our U21 national team he never managed to prove himself on club level.
Akademija Pandev confirmed that they have reached an agreement with the 22-year-old attacking player and was already promoted. Having in mind his downhill at Sporting, we consider this a great and smart move by Mitrovski, but also by Akademija Pandev. Mitrovski has talent, but always lacked physical strength and condition.
He started his career as a kid at the academy of Rabotnichki, but at 16 he moved to German side Hansa from Rostock. Then he played for the youth teams of Magdeburg before transferring to Portuguese giant Sporting where he played for U19m, U23 and the reserve team. This summer he parted ways with Sporting and was without a club up until now.
He played for all youth Macedonian national teams where has a very effective record of goals and assist, but never got to the senior team.
Besides Mitrovski, Akademija Pandev also added forward Pepi Gorgiev and promoted assistant coach Gjorge Stojchev as manager after Aleksandar Vasoski left for Bosnian giants Sarajevo. Keeper Marko Alchevski, defensive midfielder Besnik Ferati and forward Kaio Lucas Nunes Santos left the club.
