As today’s Italian Sky reports, the 17 year old Dejan Stojanovic is close to completing his move to Bologna.  There were numerous Italian clubs such as Parma, Bologna, Genoa, and Sampdoria interested in Stojanovic but it seems Bologna has come out on top in signing Stojanovic.  Bologna is one of the oldest clubs in Italy and has won the Serie A title seven times.  Stojanovic is valued at 500,000 euros and he is expected to either be the starting keeper on the Bologna Primavera team or be the backup keeper on the first team.

Stojanovic will turn 18 in about a month and performed well this past season for Austrian second division club Lustenau 07.  He is not your usual young keeper because he has a good built that is beyond his years.  Stojanovic was rewarded for his good performance this season and although he is 17 years old, he was called up to the Macedonian U21 national team.  Just recently, Stojanovic kept a clean sheet for the Macedonian U21 team in the friendly game against Bulgaria which ended 0:0.  The U21 manager Boban Babunski has used these last friendlies to test both Stojanovic and Filip Gacevski as each keeper was given a start in the two friendlies played earlier this month.
