Midfielder Darko Tasevski has left Levski and will continue his career in Israel with league champions Ironi Kiryat Shmona by signing a 2 year deal with an option for 2 additional years.

Darko Tasevski, who turns 28 years old later this month, was being left out of the Levski squad for the past couple of weeks, and both sides agreed that it might be time to part ways.  The new club for Tasevski has now been identified as he will continue his career in Israel with the league champions Ironi Kiryat Shmona.  The club will participate in the UEFA Champions League qualifications next season and wanted to improve its squad.  Ironi Kiryat Shmona viewed Tasevski as a solid reinforcement and reached an agreement with Levski for the transfer of the attacking midfielder.

Tasevski signed a 2 year deal with Ironi Kiryat Shmona with an option for 2 additional years.  Darko passed his medical yesterday morning and then signed the contract.  Tasevski will be the second Macedonian to suit up for Ironi Kiryat Shmona after Zoran Baldovaliev formerly played there.

Darko has been with Levski since 2007 where he compiled 116 league appearances to go along with 21 goals, according to the club’s website.  His move to Israel will be his third international adventure.  Prior to his time with Levski, Tasevski briefly played in Ukraine with Metalurh Zaporizhya.

Tasevski has been capped 34 times for the Macedonian national team but is still looking for his first goal.  Since John Toshack took over as manager in August of 2011, Darko has not been included on the team.  His last appearance came on 26 March 2011 in a EURO 2012 qualifier away to Ireland.
