At a press briefing held at the Football Federation of Macedonia, president Masar Omeragić announced that Macedonia will be strengthened with two new players, Daniel “Danny” Musovski and Andrej Todoroski, in the World Cup play-off against Denmark on March 26th in Copenhagen.

Musovski was linked with Macedonia back in 2020, expressing a desire to play, but never received a call to be in the senior team. President Omeragić confirmed that he had personally spoken with him, during which Musovski said that he wanted to play for Macedonia. His parents have Macedonian citizenship, so in his case there are no administrative problems for playing for Macedonia. Danny Musovski is a member of Seattle Sounders in the MLS, and in 31 appearances in the just-ended season he scored 14 goals and provided 5 assists.
According to Omeragić, Todoroski, who is one of the best players in the Serbian Super League club TSC from Bačka Topola, visited Skopje last week and confirmed his readiness to play for the Macedonian national team. He has played several times for the Macedonian U17 and U21 national teams in friendly matches in the past, but the biggest problem is that he must give up his Austrian passport to play for Macedonia because Austria does not allow dual citizenship. Mr. Omeragić announced that this problem will be resolved in the very near future.
Mr. Omeragić indicated that the FFM scouting service headed by Nikolche Noveski is in contact with several more footballers from the Macedonian diaspora and that they will do everything in their power to have them wear the Macedonian jersey in the future.
