Defender Aleksandar Damchevski has been a free agent ever since NAC Breda terminated his contract earlier in the summer. He has yet to find a new club, but that may change soon.

Damchevski is on trial at Partizan and even played in a friendly match on Thursday. Aleksandar played the complete 1st half in a 1:0 win over Zemun. Partizan is looking for extra help in central defense after failing to sign some of their top targets at the position. One candidate was Nikolche Noveski as well, but the two sides could not come to an agreement.

The summer transfer market ended in Serbia several days ago, but Damchevski can still be signed by the club because he is a free agent. It should be known over the coming week whether Partizan plans to retain Damchevski. The coaches will decide his faith.

Aleksandar, 22, is French-born but has a Macedonian connection through his father. He became a national team player under former manager Boshko Gjurovski, compiling four caps in the process.
