Cyprus to host Macedonia U17, Gorgovski called up

The U17sThe U17 national team will play two friendlies against their Cypriot counterparts this month. One new name that was called up was Jamie Gorgovski of Borussia Dortmund’s academy.

The manager of the Macedonian U17 national team, Vujadin Stanojkovikj, summoned 21 players for the friendlies against Cyprys. Macedonia will be in that country from August 16-21, and play the hosts twice during that period.

The first game is scheduled for the 18th, while the second one will be played two days later. Both will start at 17.30 CET, with the venue being Makario Stadium in the capital city of Nicosia.

Among the called up players is Australian-born Jamie Gorgovski of Borussia Dortmund’s academy. He has decided to represent Macedonia, the country of his origin.

Bane Manevski from Serbian side Čukarički was originally summoned but withdrew as the club did not allow him to join the national team in this period.
