On Tuesday was played the first September match and was decided on penalties. Shkëndija 77 hosted Sasa in Kumanovo instead of Skopje and celebrated after the penalty shoot-out after finding a late equalizer three minutes from time.

On Wednesday two more matches got underway. Second league side Novaci came back victorious after visiting cup debutante Pchinja, a team from the third league. Unfortunately, Pchinja had to host this match on a different field as their own doesn’t fulfill the minimal standards for a cup match.

Teteks gave top flight club Pelister a hard time. The hosts took the lead with Pelister equalizing shortly after the break and scoring a winner five minutes from time.

The opening round will be concluded next week with the remaining four matches.
