Rabotnichki defeated Bregalnica 2:0 in the first leg of the Macedonian Cup semi-finals, while the other matchup between Teteks and Metalurg resulted in a 0:0 draw.
Rabotnichki managed to build a good lead before the second leg of their Macedonian Cup semi-final by defeating Bregalnica 2:0 in Skopje on Wednesday. Rabotnichki started the match in perfect fashion as midfielder Milovan Petrovikj scored the opening goal in the first minute of the match.

Bregalnica was not defending well throughout the match and could not put together many quality chances to threaten the opponent’s goal. Later on, when Bregalnica kept more of the possession, they ended up allowing another goal. The scorer was Tauljant Sulejmanov who found himself in the box and fired a powerful shot to give his team a solid edge before the second leg.

In the dying minutes of the match, Bregalnica had its best chance through striker Riste Naumov after a nice build-up, but his shot from inside the box hit the post.
Meanwhile, in Gjorche Petrov, second league side Teteks hosted Metalurg in the other semi-final matchup. Metalurg, who is slowly distancing itself further and further from the domestic league title picture, will instead look to quality for a European competition through the domestic cup. Today’s match was played carefully by both teams, and neither side could break the deadlock. Teteks did keep an important clean sheet at home, so Metalurg will need to be careful in the return leg. Away goals are crucial so any tie besides 0:0 in the return leg will see Teteks advance to the domestic cup final.
