Cedomir Janevski leaves Crvena Zvezda

Čedomir JanevskiMacedonian coach Cedomir Janevski and Serbian club Crvena Zvezda from Belgrade have parted company by mutual agreement. Janevski's departure came amid Macedonian need for new national team coach.

After the big financial crisis at Red Star where their debts to creditors and players swelled to 28 million euros, the situation escalated when they were eliminated from the Serbian Cup semi-finals by second division club Sevojno while rivals Partizan retained the league title with five games to spare.

"Janevski is no longer able to stay in charge of Red Star and has therefore agreed to terminate his contract with the club," the Serbian first division team said on their website.

On 40 days after Srečko Katanec left the Macedonian national team, Cede Janevski has the biggest support by the Macedonian coaches, players and fans to be named as the next Macedonian coach.
