According to the latest FIFA World Ranking, Macedonia is not part of the top 50 anymore and will finish 2008 on the 56th position after dropping seven positions from last months rankings.

Spanish media reports there's possibility the Macedonian national team will play a friendly match on 27th of December against Extremadura, a Spanish autonomous community.

Leaders Makedonija GjP defeated Vardar and will stay on the top with seven points lead in front of Milano who were defeated away to Pelister in the last round of the 2008/09 season before the winter break. The season will continue in March, 2009.

Vardar’s players attacked by it’s own fans
After the row of 10 matches without a win, Vardar's fans attacked it's own players. After the incident in which luckily no one was injured, the president of FK Vardar Trifun Kostovski announced his resignation from the club.
