The 17th season of the Macedonian First Football League started today with the four opening match. Vardar defeated Pobeda in the most interesting match, while current champion Rabotnicki drew away to Napredok.
Macedonian 2nd League – Round 1
The Macedonian 2nd League season 2008/2009 started on the national holiday Ilinden with yesterdays matches. First round and first incident. The match Belasica – Madzari was suspended on half-time. Ohrid made the biggest upset with the away victory against Kozuf, while Bregalnica Stip destroyed Lokomotiva with 4:0. Here are the results:

Macedonian internationals performances

Former FK Rabotnicki Skopje defender, Nikola Karcev, joined Russian Premier Liga team FK Terek Grozny with whom he signed a one year contract.
Riste Naumov two years in Viktoria Zizkov
The 27 years old striker, Riste Naumov, joined Czech side FK Viktoria Žižkov. He signed a two years long contract that will keep him at the Viktoria Stadium until 2010.
