The 17th season of the Macedonian First league is completed! The last round was very interesting for the lower part of the table where the play-out teams were decided today. Pelister failed to win and will play against Shkendija 79, while Metalurg will face Bregalnica Stip in the relegation play-out matches.
Macedonian 2nd League – Round 30
The last round of the Second League didn’t bring any changes on the special positions on the table. With the 5:0 win at home against Cementarnica 55, Bregalnica Stip will definitely play into the promotion play-off against the 9th placed team in the First League. Macedonian First League – Round 32
The heavy rain that hit Skopje made big problems so some matches were interrupted and abandoned and were finished later then planned. Sileks and Turnovo have definitely secured their stay in the league while Pobeda and Metalurg will fight for avoiding the play-out in the last round.
Macedonian 2nd League – Round 29
After 4 seasons of playing into the Second League, Sloga Jugomagnat is back into the First League. With today’s win away to Ohrid, one of the most successful football clubs in Macedonia gained promotion. Shkendija 79 will play in the promotion play-off while Madzari Solidarnost is relegated into one of the Third Leagues.
Rabotnichki wins the Macedonian Cup (Video)
In a tough match partially played under heavy rain, Rabotnichki beat Makedonija GjP and won the Macedonian Cup final. The match ended with 1:1 in regular time and after the extra time and seven series of penalty kicks, Rabotnichki won with 7:6. Macedonian First League – Round 31
Renova won the battle for the second position, while Sileks and Pobeda managed to win important points in the battle on the bottom for avoiding the play-out zone. Metalurg now dropped in the dangerous zone after being defeated at home by Rabotnicki.
Macedonian 2nd League – Round 28
Teteks is officially a new member of the First League after they draw Miravci at home, taking a point that was enough to be promoted. In the other matches, Lokomotiva beat Shkendija 79 with 3:2, Vardar from Negotino surprised Belasica away, Novaci beat Ohrid in a high-scoring game, while Bregalnica failed to beat Drita in
Makedonija GjP wins Macedonian league
Makedonija Gjorce Petrov have won the Macedonian First League title for the 2008/09 season. After Renova's draw away to Vardar, Makedonija celebrated the title with the win against Rabotnicki on three rounds before the end of the season.
Macedonian 2nd League – Round 27
Miravci beat Sloga Jugomagnat in the derby of the round and now after Teteks’ win over Cementarnica away the club from Tetovo is 90% promoted. Bregalnica from Stip took the three points from Avtokomanda in the most entertaining game with Skopje, Vardar from Negotino surprised Lokomotiva, while Drita trashed Kozuf. Rabotnicki and Makedonija in the Cup final
Current title holders Rabotnicki and league leaders Makedonija Gjorce Petrov will meet in the Macedonian cup final. They were both defeated in the semi final second leg matches, but the 1:0 wins were not enough for Shkendija 79 and Milano.
