Murat Şamil Şen from Türkiye bought the shares of local magnate Kiril Gogov and is now the majority owner of Bregalnica. The new owner will have 85% of the stock market shares, with the rest 15% belonging to the Municipality of Shtip.
The club’s budget for this season will be a million euros, which is too much for a second league side. With so big budget Bregalnica simply must earn promotion.
It is rumored that new head coach will be Vlatko Kostov. The coaching staff and the new players will be announced in the upcoming days. If the info about the budget is true. Bregalnica will easily attract the quality players that are still without a club.
Ivan Jordanov, the mayor of Shtip, revealed some of the arrangements with the new ownership:
“Today in Shtip we are starting a new football chapter – FK Bregalnica has a new majority investor! This is not just a change in the ownership structure – this is a strategic partnership to return Bregalnica to the winning ways and its deserved place in the Macedonian top flight. We have agreed on clear obligations:
– Bregalnica will necessarily compete at the highest level in the two main club competitions.
– Most of the coaching staff will be Shtip residents – our fellow citizens, our pride!
– This year, a complete reconstruction of the Gradski stadium will begin with the construction of a new stand.
– Continuous investment will be made in the youth academy, in order to make the most of the Shtip nursery and discover top football talents.
This is a huge chance for the youth, for our talents, for all who dream of wearing the blue and white colors with pride and sacrifice. I wish them sporting happiness and successful management of the new management of FK Bregalnica, with the hope that great victories and shared joys lie ahead!”
The new season in the Macedonian second league begins on August 23. Bregalnica will fight for promotion with Ohrid Lychnidos, who already declared such ambitions, and probably newly promoted Shkëndija 77 who has a quality squad.
