Vladica Brdarovski, Pelister’s right back has been voted best young player of first half-season 2010/11 by Macedonian football fans.
Recently, MacedonianFootball.com created a poll where fans were able to vote for their favorite young players from Macedonian First League, first half-season 2010/11. A shortlist from three players was created after our respected forum members nominated their favorites for this award. Pelister’s Vladica Brdarovski, Vardar’s Ivan Nastevski and Shkendija’s Valmir Nafiu were the selected players for voting. The poll then proceeded on MacedonianFootball’s Facebook page, where the fans saw an exciting race between Vladica Brdarovski and Ivan Nastevski. Eventually, it was the full back from Bitola who prevailed and won this award after collecting 1508 votes, while Vardar’s talented youngster Nastevski remained on 1356 votes.
For this occasion, MacedonianFootball.com contacted Vladica Brdarovski who is currently in the Czech Republic on trials with FC Zbrojovka Brno. After the recent interview with him exclusively for our site, we asked him how is he feeling in the Czech Republic.
VB: First of all, let me use this opportunity to thank all the fans and all my friends who voted for me and supported me in this ‘competition’. I really appreciate it and I would also like to say thanks to you, MacedonianFootball.com, for my nomination and my award. As to the Czech Republic, the conditions for work here are amazing. We are working really professional and we have trainings three times a day.
MF: How do you like the city and your potentially new club?
VB: The city is beautiful, it is second-largest in the Czech Republic and I simply love it. As to the football club, although the standings do not show it, it has a good squad and I see myself here in the future.
MF: How has this trial happened for you?
VB: I came here after my managers insisted and I do not regret it at all. Although it is my first foreign experience, the new club, the management and the players are all helping me and I fit very well in my new environment.
MF: What are your expectations now:
VB: I am expecting to sign a contract in the coming days, as I am one of the 3 players that remained in the club after many players were tested. There are some small problems with my paperwork but I think that will be done in the next few days. After that, with the support of the club fans, I believe we can avoid relegation without bigger problems.
Considering Vladica is in the Czech Republic we had no option to personally give him his award at the moment, but we wish him best of luck with Zbrojovka Brno and upon signing a contract with the club, many successful matches, just as he had with Pelister in Macedonia.
We have also promised him that his award will be safely kept until his first return to Macedonia and then awarded to him as he really deserved it.
