Defender Bilal Velija will spend the upcoming 6 months with Finnish side JJK Jyväskylä.
Lajmpress.com reported that defender Bilal Velija has signed a 6-month deal with JJK Jyväskylä of the Finnish second division. Velija (31) last played for Gostivar in Macedonia and before that was a member of Renova. He has experience playing abroad in countries such as Finland, Azerbaijan, Norway and Albania. The signing with JJK Jyväskylä marks his return to Finnish football as in 2007 he played for Porin Palloilijat or for short PoPa.
He will join the team for trainings on Monday, while the season there kicks-off on the 28th of April. Velija made the following comment to Lajmpress, “Besim Isa, an agent based in Zurich, Switzerland, helped me with this transfer as he has done in the past when I played in Finland and Norway, and I want to thank him. The conditions here are great. I will not feel as a foreigner as the coach will recognize my qualities. I hope to remain in the club after the initial contract.”
