Youth national team striker Benjamin Demir has joined Filip Gligorov at Bosnian club Olimpic.
Benjamin Demir, who saw little playing time with the reserve team of Hajduk Split this past season, has decided to transfer to Olimpic in Bosnia. That is the club of Filip Gligorov, another former youth national team player of Macedonia.
Olimpic won the Bosnian Cup this past season, so they will participate in the Europa League qualifications this summer. Demir, a winger, will look to receive more playing time at his new club.
Benjamin has been capped by Macedonia U19 in the past. However, as a player born in 1996, he is no longer eligible for that generation (for this cycle U19 players will need to be born in 1997 or later).
Demir grew up in the youth system of Vardar and has also been under contract with Inter Zaprešić (Croatia), Gorno Lisiche (Macedonia) and Hajduk Split’s reserves (Croatia) before this latest move to Olimpic (Bosnia).
