Belasica targets promotion with 5 newcomers

Second league East leaders Belasica has so far presented five signings among which midfielder Goran Zdravkov, the best player of their fierce rivals Bregalnica.

It is not a secret that Belasica is aiming for first league promotion. They have been dominating the East in the first half-season, but the board wants to make sure there won’t be any possible downfall and decided to add more dept to the squad.

Their biggest signing is Goran Zdravkov, the veteran midfielder who despite his 37 years is doping a great job in the second league playing for Bregalnica. Actually, he has spent the entire career in that club.

Not just Zdravkov, but central defenders Aleksandar Vasilev (32, photo: 2nd from right) and Tome Janev (27, (photo: 1st from right) also come from Bregalnica. The Shtip based club by letting their best players to strengthen their biggest rival in a way surrender in the promotion battle. Both come back to their native city of Strumica and have also played for Belasica earlier in their careers. These two have been brought to fill the gap of Aleksandar Bagashovski who left to join Trepça’89 in Kosovo.

Keeper Goran Pashovski (photo: 2nd from left), also 37, decided that still can be an active player as he retired after the end of last season while playing for Pelister. He is the replacement for another veteran keeper, Vanche Manchevski who left the club.

The last signing is eventually a young player. 20-years-old trequartista Martin Mirchevski (photo: 3rd from right) comes as a free player from Pobeda, a first league side who due to financial problems face an exodus. So far he has been capped by the U19 national team. He is a product of Pelister’s youth academy, a team that he left six months ago.
