After 12 years the Maso Cup trophy is again in the hand of the Bankstown City Lions players as they won the 2024 edition by defeating co-hosts Wollongong United in the final.

Bankstown City Lions edged Altona Magic in the semis with a 9:8 win in the penalty shoot-outs after the regular time ended in a 1:1 draw. They went on to face co-hosts Wollongong United in the big final, a team that hoped to lift their first ever Maso Cup trophy. The co-hosts eliminated Broadsmedow Magic in the semis with 1:0. However, the Lions celebrated with a lone goal in the final match and headed home victorious. The winner was scored by Devante Clut, a former Australia youth national team player.
