Thailand based club Bangkok Glass has begun negotiations with Ironi Kiryat Shmona about the transfer of Darko Tasevski.
Mario Gjurovski could soon have company in Thailand as Bangkok Glass, a club that finished in 5th place last season, has started negotiations with Ironi Kiryat Shmona about the transfer of Macedonian international Darko Tasevski. Bangkok Glass sent high level executives and scouts to watch Tasevski during the Beitar Jerusalem vs. Ironi Kiryat Shmona game on 23 November. Darko’s team won that game 1:4 on the road, and the Bangkok Glass representatives were pleased with his performance. The news of their interest in Tasevski was also confirmed on the Thai club’s website where they stated that every effort will be made to bring in the player prior to the start of the 2014 season.
Tasevski’s contract with Ironi Kiryat Shmona runs until the summer of 2014. However, Darko has wanted out of Israel for months now, due in large part to his wife being unhappy with the unsettling situation and constant conflicts in Israel.
The winter transfer window is the last opportunity for Ironi Kiryat Shmona to receive some compensation for Tasevski, so the Israeli club is not likely to stand in the way if they receive a good proposal. The biggest stumbling block, however, would be whether Tasevski agrees to move to Thailand, considered one of the worst leagues in Asia, instead of moving to another European country. Obviously, Tasevski may opt to talk with Gjurovski about the conditions and quality in Thailand before making his decision. Then again, if Bangkok Glass offers Darko a high salary, he may be inclined to accept the offer, given that he will turn 30 years old next May.
