Bajram Fetai is currently on trial at newly promoted 2. Bundesliga club Dynamo Dresden and he scored a goal and provided an assist in today’s friendly.
Bajram Fetai is a free agent at the moment and has joined German club Dynamo Dresden on trial. His potential new team played a friendly today against Romanian club Universitatea Cluj and Fetai made a good early impression by scoring a goal and providing an assist in a 4:4 draw. Fetai entered the game in the 60th minute, scored his goal in the 73rd minute to cut the lead to 3:2, and provided the assist on the final goal of the game in the 90th minute that tied the game at 4:4. The Dynamo Dresden assistant coach said that Fetai will start in the next friendly which is this upcoming Tuesday against Karpaty Lviv which features Macedonian goalkeeper Martin Bogatinov. If he has another good game, then it is likely that Dynamo Dresden will make Fetai an offer to continue his career with the club from the German second division.
Keep in mind that Fetai was also on trial at 2. Bundesliga club Fortuna Düsseldorf last summer but the team decided not to offer him a contract and then Fetai signed with Danish club Lyngby. He played an important role in the second half of the season to help Lyngby avoid relegation. Fetai scored three goals in 13 appearances but it seems Fetai would like to continue in another country as he has spent most of his career in Denmark.
Bajram is 25 years old and was born in Tetovo. He played for the youth teams of Denmark before he made the switch and accepted the invitation by Mirsad Jonuz to represent the Macedonian national team. He made his debut in a friendly against Albania on 17 November 2010 which ended 0:0. Fetai currently has two caps and was initially called up by Jonuz for the Ireland game earlier this month but he had to withdraw because of an injury.
